87% of Realtors fail within 5 years

The National Association of Realtors’ research found 75% of Realtors fail within the first year and 87% fail within five years.

The top 3 Reasons Realtors fail:

  1. They get into Real Estate for The Wrong Reasons.
  2. They Fail to treat the Real Estate Business As A Business.
  3. They are part-time agents, and their full-time jobs don’t allow flexibility to field calls, texts, and emails from clients, step away from meetings and showings, and process contract documents in a timely manner. Additionally, by not being able to attend local training and development opportunities designed to help new Realtors learn the ropes, they will miss out on how to navigate market changes, sales training, marketing strategies, and networking with other real estate professionals.

The question arises: which kind of Realtor do you want? What is the “X” Factor that separates the professional Realtor, the Top Producer, from those who won’t give up their day jobs and will soon leave the business?

The CFA also highlights that RE/MAX is well known for being the most productive Realtors.
